An exciting roguelike space game in which we have to fight against a fleet of space rebels. FTL may not look like much, but it delivers a powerful dose of excitement. The sectors through which we must reach the base are randomly generated, we feel the pressure of time, and the threat of ultimate death (you can’t save the game) encourages us to plan the battle and the role of each character in the team.

An extremely ambitious project, a true sandbox that allows players to explore an infinite universe. What makes this first-person adventure unique is the use of a time loop. We become the Juplanin of the planet Tree Haven, and after 22 minutes of gameplay, the sun explodes and everything starts all over again… In such a short time, we have to gather information that will help us solve the mystery of this world. Add to this a well-developed storyline, original graphics, fascinating locations, great music – and you have a good example of what a non-standard space game looks like.

Is it cool to be an artificial intelligence? We can find the answer to this question in Observation, an interesting adventure game in which we take on the role of an S.A.M. computer controlling a crashed space station. As the artificial intelligence, we must regain control of the system’s components and rescue the human crew. This is only the first level, as the plot hides many mysteries to be solved (perhaps we are responsible for the fate of the station).

7. Ratchet & Clank (2002)

Space games for children (and not only!), actually a whole series of games released since 2002. The action of this 3D platformer takes place in the world of comic books and we play as Ratchet, a mechanic from the cat-like race of Lombaxes, who must stop the evil Drek with his robot friend Clank. Beautiful graphics, lots of humour and action, jumping on platforms, searching for power-ups – what more could you want?

One of the most interesting elements of this epic game is the ability to create your own race from scratch.
