RESHETNEV company is mastering an advanced technology for building onboard thermal control subsystem
RESHETNEV engineers are planning to incorporate miniature contour heat pipes in the satellites thermal control subsystems. The capillary pumps in these pipes act as evaporators, resulting in a high head. Under its influence, heat in the form of vapor is transported a considerable distance away from the devices and then radiated into outer space.
While assimilating the technology, the company’s professionals are applying original design and layout solutions. In particular, the loop of miniature heat pipes built into the satellite opening panels will double the area of heat radiation into outer space. The new technology will significantly improve the spacecraft electric capability and enable it to carry more payloads to expand the range of intended missions and increase competitiveness. The fluid loop based on miniature heat pipes has proved its efficiency; therefore, it is expected to be used on satellites of different classes manufactured by RESHETNEV company.
RESHETNEV experts have already developed design and technical documentation for miniature contour heat pipes, thermal control subsystems based on them, and equipment for their manufacture and testing. New solutions are being tested on experimental samples.
